Diposting oleh Arfin Majid di 15.19 Label: Home
Animals live at night or nocturnality is an animal that sleep in the day, and active at night. Such as the opposite of human behavior (commencing their diurnal computation).  Nocturnality generally have the ability to hearing and smell and seeing that sharply lower. In the zoo, nocturnal animals placed in special cage which is insulated from light to divert their sleep cycle, so they still active during the visit.

Nocturnal animal usually develops hearing ability and smell, and have adaptations in the eye to carry out the activities in a situation in which has little light. Some animals such as cats have eyes that can adapt to a little light and a light. Other animals such as galago and some types of bats can only be exercising at night. Many animals such as nocturnal tarsier and the owl have eyes that relative large compared to their own sizes to give their ability as a return of high light in the night

Description

Tarsier is a primates from genus Tarsier . It is a genus monotipe from family Tarsiidae, the only relative who survive from the Tarsiiformes. Although the group was long ago have spread wide, all species that live now found in the islands in Southeast Asia.

Classification

The position phylogenetics of tarsier which alive now had been argued many time at last century, and tarsier classified by turns on the Strepsirrhini subordo prosimia, or as a group of simia (=Anthropoidea) in infraordo Haplorrhini. Indicated that tarsier, which are included in genus Tarsier, in fact it is being classified in two (group Sulawesi and the Philippines and the West) or three different genera (group Central Sulawesi, the Philippines and the West). Taxonomy in level of species is complex, with a limited morphology is often used compare to vocal. Various shapes of some vocal may represent taxa that have not yet been described, which is taxonomist separated from spectral Tarsier (=spectrum) (such as tarsier from Minahasa and the islands Togean), and many other tarsier from Sulawesi and the islands in the area (Shekelle & Aman Mostavan, Dea 2004).  This may also a case of population in Philippines which are isolated, less than known  such as the population of Basilan, Leyte and Dinagat from the group T. syrichta. Confusion more appear on the validity of certain names. Among other things, T. dianae, that is often used, has been shown as synonymous with junior from T. dentatus, as the same as the T. spectrum is now considered synonymous with junior from T. spectral. Moreover, T. spectral has been argued as synonymous with senior from T. spectrum that is used widely.
